Adoption & Foster Applications
Adopt
The Wayne County Humane Society is committed to helping homeless pets find their fur-ever home. If you are interested in adopting one of our amazing pets, please complete the adoption application below. An approved adoption application is required to adopt a pet. Adoption applications are reviewed in the order they are received and are valid for 3 months. Once an application is approved, a pet can only be held for 24 hours.
Foster
If you are interested in providing short-term support to a pet in need, please consider joining our network of foster homes. We need foster homes for cats and dogs of all ages and, occasionally, small animals, such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Foster families provide in-home care for a pet until the pet can be adopted. Care responsibilities include providing food, water, shelter, socialization, and affection. If a foster pet needs medical attention, the foster family may have to transport the pet for veterinary care. During peak kitten times, we may also need fosters who are willing to bottle feed motherless kittens. This is a responsibility that requires extra care and attention. If you are willing to provide this level of care, please indicate your interest in your foster application.
