Monthly low-cost spay/neuter clinic that meets at WCHS.

WHAT IS A TRANSPORTATION CLINIC?

AlterClinic offers transportation to their clinic for low-cost spay/neuter services to members of surrounding counties who may not be able to transport their pet to the clinic for any number of reasons. This clinic meets at Wayne County Humane Society one Wednesday each month to pick up the scheduled animals and then bring them back to AlterClinic where they receive their surgery. We then bring the animals back to WCHS to have their owners pick them up later that same day.

HOW TO SCHEDULE:

All scheduling must be done by calling AlterClinic at (234) 804-3064. They will take down your information and your pet's information and put them on the transport list for the transportation date requested. The week before the scheduled transport, their transport coordinator will call to get the appointments scheduled.

AVAILABLE SERVICES:

Transport is available for spay/neuter appointments only at this time. While a pet is at AlterClinic for spay/neuter, they can perform other services such as vaccinations, microchipping, and SNAP combo testing. They are unable to offer dental services for transportation clients at this time.

PAYMENT AND ADDITIONAL FEES:

Payment is due in-full at the time of scheduling. Please note that in addition to the cost of surgery and services being performed, a $5.00 transportation fee per pet is charged to cover transport expenses.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP TIMES:

Owners will drop their pets off at WCHS at 7:00AM on the date of transport and pick them up that same day at 5:00PM.

TRANSPORT FOR TRAPPED CATS:

Yes, we can schedule feral trapped cats for our transportation clinics as well. Please review the requirements for trapped cats found here before scheduling.

DO I NEED TO LIVE IN WAYNE COUNTY TO USE THE TRANSPORT?

Nope! It is not a requirement that you live in that county to be scheduled.
